Back to another struggle for validity, this time in whiteball cricket. No news page, no squad selection, no info on the Sussex site at 21.50 on Wednesday.

This is the team I'd like to see:
Nash Salt Wright Taylor Finch Machan Brown Jordan Beer Rahman Mills
I suspect we'll play Briggs but I would go with the extra batter and use Nash and Finch for the other 4 overs.

Cockup or conspiracy)

After Jordan running out Taylor he certainly made up for it and Cachopa chipping in with a few boundaries as well!
Top knock by Sussex in the end - Come on the bowlers!!

Nash Wright (c) Salt Taylor Machan Cachopa (+) Jordan Beer Briggs Rahman Mills Archer for Briggs, it transpires. The Briggs situation is weird. Left Hants because they only saw him as a white ball bowler and he wanted red ball cricket. Now it seems Sussex see him as a red ball cricketer and have dropped him from the white ball side (and when he has played T20, Wright has regularly not trusted him to bowl his full four overs). Life is full of paradoxes. Especially at Sussex. Can we junk the Sharks moniker and become the Sussex Paradoxicals. That's got a real ring about it, don't you think?

My parents always warned me that Brighton was full of sharks, so I've readily accepted the nickname on that basis.

Well if this attack can't defend 200 I don't know who will. Pretty confident here, now that Beero's struck. Three times we've bat first in this comp, scored 200+ each time and won the first two. Surprised Essex put us in actually but please take note Wright. We have the best attack around right now, I think we picked the right team too. Need this one, come on Sussex.

This could be a tight finish. Another wicket or two would help

How to beat Sussex in T20? Bat first and win the game!
