Unfortunately it is not going to be involving Sussex.
After Leics' third win today, there are five teams at the top separated by just 13 points and a thrilling chase is on between them for the one promotion place.
There is then a 29 point gap to Sussex in sixth (15th) place.

Essex
4th August Sussex (H - Colchester) 13th August Derbyshire (A) 23rd August Leicestershire (A) 31st August Worcestershire (H) 12th September Glamorgan (H) 20th September Kent (A)
Worcestershire
3rd August Kent (A) 13th August Glamorgan (H) 23rd August Worcestershire (H) 31st August Essex (A) 12th September Sussex (A) 20th September Derbyshire (H)
Gloucestershire
13th August Sussex (A) 23rd August Kent (H) 31st August Derbyshire (A) 6th September Glamorgan (A) 12th September Northants (A) - why do they 3 away games in a row? That seems a little unfair 20th September Sussex (H)
Leicestershire
4th August Derbyshire (H) 13th August Northamptonshire (A) 23rd August Essex (H) 6th September Sussex (H) 12th September Derbyshire (A) 20th September Glamorgan (H)
Kent
3rd August Worcestershire (H) 23rd August Gloucestershire (A) 31st August Sussex (A) 6th September Northamptonshire (H) 20th September Essex (H)
Sussex face Essex, Kent, Leicestershire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire in their last six games and need to beat them all to have a realistic chance of promotion. I can't see it myself.
Essex v Kent could be a shoot out for promotion. Although given a choice between the six team's fixtures Leicestershire's run in looks the best with five games against the bottom four.

The figures are the totals of the predicted finishing positions, so the lowest shall be the highest, to paraphrase someone or other:
