Golly gosh, there is no individual thread for Harry Finch. There is now.
Great news, Sussex CCC have signed him for another 2 years. All sensible stuff given the fear that some youngsters may be seduced away to Division 1 teams when their contracts end if Sussex are still stuck in the Division 2 mire.
Give Jofra Archer an immediate extension. He's my main concern. His contract ends in 2017 and there is an ambitious 'Tigeresque' father behind him.

That is indeed good news, he's been the most consistent of the young batsmen and we've missed him in the middle order since his injury.
Regarding Archer, perhaps if he's that ambitious ( or his father is ) he only wanted to sign for one year?

Here is an interview with him. Great to hear Finch hopes to go to Cape Town after Christmas. I presume that's to the 'Gary Kirsten Academy' that helped re-energise Chris Nash for this season. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPfVxnqeDhw

Good news. Have always felt Finch was our best young batsman. Hopefully he can knuckle down now and really cement his place in the side in all three formats.
Hopefully his bowling will also improve as its always handy to have an extra seamer. He looks useful against Pakistan XI.

Certainly good news, but he will need to keep improving, if he is to claim a regular spot in the middle order. Sussex have already indicated that they have run out of patience with the misfiring middle order, and intend to bring in two new quality batsmen. If they are successful, it will mean more competition for places, which has to be a good thing, but it will also mean that the younger players will have to perform to get a place in the side.

All very true, and meanwhile apart from Joyce there are still three batsmen (Salt, Hudson-Prentice and Wells) who have contracts that run out this year. Wells ought to be safe enough, despite his lurches in and out of form, but the other two have everything to work for still.

Finch is the natural successor to Joyce for next season. He should join Nash at the top of the order. There's a lot of talk about batsmen coming in but that would be wasteful. We are not gonna get the sort of quality that is better than Finch, Wells and Machan and they are the guys you drop if we do. Our senior bats are now Nash, Wright, Machan and Wells. That's all we need. Finch makes up the fifth spot, a quality all rounder the sixth. Our back-up comes from Salt, H-P, Haines and Jenner.
Highlight the playing squad problem areas and concentrate all your funds on that. An all-rounder and a spinner is all we need from the outside. Possibly a couple of young seamers to replace Magoffin and Shahzad who are both on whopping wages but are of no realistic use for the future.
The wages we save by losing Joyce, Mags and Shahzad are huge, more than enough to fund a couple of big names in the areas we actually need them. Identifying the all-rounder and the spinner could be the most difficult bit.

Hot on the heels of Haines, Finch is the next youngster to extend his Sussex contract. Richly deserved as he has blossomed this season under Gillespie. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/45098380

Both Finch and Haines have flourished under Gillespie.

An 'H Finch' (whom I presume is Harry Finch) is playing for Kent 2nds today and is 115* (Out of a total of 184-0).

Just watched a few of the video highlights and that’s definitely Harry Finch.
Ended on 119.
Good luck to him.

Sussex made a huge mistake getting rid of him. Heard he’s a nice bloke but couldn’t hack it as a pro, not a natural athlete and struggled with his fitness and weight. I think Sussex gave him every chance.
