I never was, and am still not convinced by Tymal. He is so inconsistent and, as S&F says, scatter-gun at times it completely eludes me how he commanded such a huge purse for the IPL. I watched the game yesterday and it was interesting listening to Ian Bishop on commentary who said that Tymal should perfect his stock ball before he starts trying to change it up. He was an expensive luxury yesterday. I share your reservations about TM, joe. Is it possible his back problem won't allow him to put in the required number of practice hours in the nets?

Before that game he was actually fairly consistent in the competition, being one of the most economical bowlers with a good strike rate and average. Agree that he can spray it around at times but when you consider the state of the track and the fate that the other bowlers in that game were all receiving it's not as bad a return as it seems.
