Great shame - the rain radar shows an enormous belt of rain passing west to east over most of the country. The belt itself covers half the width of the country, and looks solid until at least 6-7 o'clock. Hammering down in Hampshire, blustering in Bristol....and probably offensively smug in SE11

Is it all over bar a miracle as Adrian Harms reports for Sussex Sport two hours ago on how appalling the weather is at the Ageas Bowl? And this is the latest from the Hampshire CCC twitter. twitter.com/hantscricket?lang=en-gbSo, is it goodbye the RLC for another year? At least we won 3 games which is more than the last two seasons combined, so that is the one positive to take away but Sussex still have a way to go before they can become competitive again. Consistency is the key and that takes time to build. At least, there is the T20 to look forward which should be our strongest format.

Match abandoned. Both fans had already gone home, I hear.

Why have several bitchy posts emanated from such an inoffensive comment from a Surrey fan, which presumably came from a Surrey fan forum? Sussex didn't even get the sharp-ish end of it, Hants did. He could have easily called us Kolpakex because we have lots of them too. Possibly considered it but changed his mind fearing nobody would know what the hell he's referring to. Anyway, God help your flimsy backbones.
We got what we deserved today - Super Furry Animals.
