What do we have to do to be able to afford an overseas for a full season, like most other counties? Do we not have a competitive playing budget? With so many big earners having left the county in recent years, and replaced mostly by untried youngsters, and a few Kolpaks, why is it we find ourselves in the position of not being able to afford an overseas for the second half of the season. Even seemingly impoverished clubs like Northamptonshire can manage that, but we can't even afford to have a contracted back up keeper It's embarrassing

What do we have to do to be able to afford an overseas for a full season, like most other counties? I wonder how much income is being distributed to support other forms of cricket now that it is integrated with the professional cricket club. I thought at the time of the amalgamation that there was a potential conflict of interest where income and expenditure was concerned. Do any other counties have a similar structure?
