Yes, its the Sussex CCC Newsletter, proving that you don't have to try very hard to fail completely.
Today's offering features:
"Here all the thoughts from victorious Chris Jordan after Sussex’s thrilling victory over Warwickshire yesterday in the LV= County Championship"
Not easy to say which is worse: the homophone, the illogicality of hearing thoughts, or the grandiosity of the claim of ALL CJ's thoughts.
Now this, referring to the Horsham game against Warwickshire:
"The win saw Sussex rise to 4th in the LV=CC Division One table."
No, it didn't, and it really shouldn't have been difficult for whoever put this pile of steaming ordure together to check it.
Seriously, this sort of amateurishness won't do. Can anyone be surprised that we fail to find sponsors when we market ourselves so poorly to our own users?

Sorry, but that is a sackable offence. Someone is being paid to produce the newsletter. Possibly not very much, but they are being paid and the club should surely ensure that the job is done by someone with at least a pass grade in English and Maths GCSE.
Frankly, you could walk down to the seafront and find a dosser sleeping under the pier who could do a better job than that. Or has the club contracted the job out to the moronic sub at the Brighton Argus who told us not to "right off" the Greens?
If the club cannot produce a literate and accurate newsletter, why don't they employ s&f to do it for them?
What is even more disturbing is that after this 15 year-old work experience lad had written this drivel, it must surely have been proof-read/signed-off by Toumasi or May?
This sort of thing makes Sussex a laughing stock.

There are worse things going on in the world. Bet they're spelt better, though. Insha'Allah.

There are worse things going on in the world. But some things are so easy to put right. Global disasters are no excuse for shoddy PR.

Ho-hum. Today's offering on the club website under News:
MACHAN: Matt to captain Sussex for two NZ 'A' clashes
Except that it's not....Sussex aren't playing NZ A at all, and Machan is, as previously reporting, captaining Scotland. The sup[porting text makes that clear but....who writes this rubbish, and who signs it off?

Not sure I would have passed my O level in English, (showing my age), with that phrase!

Thanks, and I should have picked that up on edit, much like the Sussex marketing officer responsible for the News pages.
