Is Wright fit? If so he should replace Wells. I would replace Liddle with Hobden.
My team in batting order: Nash, Wright, Machan, Joyce (c), Cachopa, Piolet, Brown (+), Beer, Magoffin, Hatchett, Hobden

I have just spotted young Josh Poysden the Sussex leggie made his debut for Warwickshire and took an impressive 2-49 off nine overs against Middlesex. I had wondered what had happened to him since playing for the Unicorns. So maybe his second game will be against opponents, many of whom he'll have played with during his time with the seconds

Warks 152 for 0 after 30 overs. Guess they can play the last 20 overs in full-on T20 mode.

Did Nash bowl before Beer?

Did Nash bowl before Beer? It would appear so, from the Cricinfo scorecard.

What's the deal with Arafat? Can we just switch overseas players when we want, horses for courses?

Did Nash bowl before Beer? It would appear so, from the Cricinfo scorecard. That is how it seemed to me which seemed a bit odd as Beer is in primarily as a bowler and Nash as a batsman.

Don't we need a bit of impetus for the first ten over power play? I thought that was the point of a power play - Joyce and Wells are good players but not necessarily power players. 48 0ff the first 10 is OK but not getting you in front of the target Why wouldn't you have Nash as opener in the 50 over game and either Wells or Joyce at three or four depending on how the first wicket or two go. Also you could choose your openers depending on the score required. Do we ever do that?

88 for 4 after 20 overs. It's deja vu all over again.
Edit - make that 89 for 5.

. . . and that's the problem with 50 over cricket. We can now look forward to 30 tedious overs - unless something extraordinary happens.

112 for 6 Mr Z gone.
I think you're right, Lawnmower - looks as if we'll only have a few more tedious overs at this rate.

What happened, went out to the garden for a bit, came back and suddenly we are six down for flip all?
