Same squad selected so I'd like to see Salt in for Evans. Mills unlikely to feature so I'd stick with Garton who showed a lot of control yesterday although it would be interesting to see Robinson brought in if he's fit as he would strengthen the batting.
Let's hope for a home advantage win to keep our chances of a quarter-final spot alive.

Same team and another great performance by the bowlers to bowl Glos out for 138 in the 19th over.

Almost but not quite! Sussex are back in it.  Great performance from the bowlers; a Ben Stokesque catch from Van Zyl; and a spluttering but enough to get us over the line batting from our batsmen. Onward to Sunday and an underperforming Surrey. PHEWW!! |

Apologies for a shortened report this evening (some of you are probably thinking thank Christ for that that) but after 12 T20 blast games I am totally badgered ! The Sharks were brilliant on their home patch against Gloucestershire CCC in the 12th match of the series. All eyes will be on Laurie Evans who made a unbeaten 45 but to me David Weise deserves the man of the match award. He got the 1st Central County Ground party started with a first ball wicket and then calmed the nerves with this massive straight 6 (see pic) when needed. Stiaan van Zyl produced a world class play when making a catch after a parry over the ropes. It had me running around like an idiot ! Champaign moment so far. Congrats to all Sussex Cricket connections and having had a quiet word with head coach Mark Davis I hope he enjoys his lie in this morning ! We all go again on Sunday when we make the trip to the Oval. Mrs B will be joining me for that one hopefully she will bring some luck with her. Have a great week end all I am positive we will still be in the quarterfinal hunt come 6pm on Sunday. My £50 ew bet at 18/1 is flying high right now. Colin   |
