After not playing for so long it's fair 2 say the only part of my body not sore this morning are my eye lids! Luckily back is fine too!

All 3 Sussex lads picked up in the draft now. The only county to have more than one player picked now.

They say a picture can tell a 1,000 words. Perhaps, 140 letters can tell a 1,000 words too!

Heard about this on twitter, if he goes how do people feel? Shame as very Sussex but if he wants fresh challenges, good luck to him. Also would make 4 of my plastic pint mugs out of date!!

In a way, I'll be sorry to see him go, but I don't think we've had the best of him in recent times. I suspect if he goes to Warwickshire, he will miraculously return to form. Apart from apparently losing interest in proper cricket, he seems to have lost interest in Sussex. Has there been a falling out?

Did he resign from the captaincy or was he pushed?

Good time for change I reckon. If we go up we might be able to take a decent younger batsman from a struggling county with us as a replacement, like Wakely or someone. If we don't it would be a good time to blood Salt at five in the longer form.
Either way, stay or go, up or down, not such a big deal any more. He ain't finished yet but he's naturally on the wane. Been a quality player overall though.
Machan, Mags, Shahzad, Wright, lose the Kolpaks too and we're really in a good position for positive transition.

I know there's no love lost between Wright and Davis. Good time for him to go, been cruising the last couple of years and I'm sure he must be on a hefty salery too. He's been a great servant to Sussex but it's obvious his heart isn't in it any more.

Not clear how to take this news. Has he completed his tour of Big Bash duty or will he be seeking out another team for next season? It means the Melbourne Stars won't have either Wright or Pietersen next year which is quite a loss for their batting given both players have been top of the team's averages for each tournament. My concerns are Wright's injuries are becoming more regular whether it is the back or otherwise. I hope this won't affect his playing for Sussex next Summer.

I can't believe that thias story goes out over the byline of David Hopps www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/22159256/wessels-fails-make-ipl-auction-blast-feats-go-unnoticedApart from the slovenly style "...son of the former South Africa and Australia Test batsman, Kepler Wessels, a staider player altogether" it says nothing informative or enlightening about the players or the process. Not false news, just no news , dressed up as a story.
