So that 17 includes Crocombe and Carson😳 forget Tom Clark was already on the staff. Does that include Head and Van Zyl? CC Brown Carson Clark Claydon Crocombe Garton Haines Jordan ( when not with England/IPL etc ) Meaker Rawlins Robinson Salt Thomason van Zyl O/S? Head O/S? OD only Wright Bopara Mills Beer Surely we won’t extend Claydon’s contract?

We cannot extend Claydon's contract, no way. He is a cheat. Sack him. Is it more acceptable to do what he done than to do what Bancroft done? I can't see why, the effect is the same.

Fully agree, good to see a few more youngsters come through. Think we will still need to look for a few from outside, having lost 6 so far

Fully agree, good to see a few more youngsters come through. Think we will still need to look for a few from outside, having lost 6 so far With Sussex making a seven figure loss you are living in absolute cloud cuckoo land. The cricket budget is likely to be massively reduced as result of covid 19. It is now a case of what the club can afford to pay you rather than a player demanding what he think he is worth. We don't know when crowds will return with Boris the clown in charge.

The club have already announced that all their overseas stars are coming back, so I think we’ll see a bit of movement Won’t be A listers, but I do think we’ll strengthen We could still do with trimming a few of those thirty somethings off the wage bill to create a bit of space

We should try and sign FHP back. Should never have let him go.
Joe, three seamers in April? H-P for Rawlins, who is a one-day player, and you're talking. Not sure VZ is keen to open, might have to swap him & Haines. Like the side though, but who's the coach?
CP, it's all back to normal by the new season. I can get you a vaccine now if you want? There'll be a better one by April though.
Given that this nonsense is temporary, and we aren't in debt, we should consider a small loan if necessary just to remain competitive. If necessary.

Sussex have already taken out a loan.

I always like an attacking spinner any time of year, Haines is the 4th seamer.

I have been a big critic sending out a 4 day side which was just above club level. Was coming round to accepting reason for this was we are broke. Now I hear maybe we are not a broke as I thought as VZ, Head and maybe Rashid will be coming. We also still have a DOC/Performance director

We also still have a DOC/Performance director The club is not 'broke', but cutting its coat according to its cloth, in order to avoid going broke.
Payments to these overseas stars will depend on the club's income level in 2021. This announcement is PR rather than a budget forecast!

Are you saying these players are not contracted and therefore could sign for anybody else With Sussex, that’s not a relevant issue anyway Why not an issue with Sussex. Surely if they have a contract to come and play for Sussex we have an obligation to honour this and pay them. If this is case must have been budgeted for. If of course there are no contracts must be free to sign for anybody. I am just suprised we are going to this expense
