Sussex are not in a position to pick and choose who their sponsors are. Ideological philosophies don't pay the bills.

Sussex are not in a position to pick and choose who their sponsors are. Ideological philosophies don't pay the bills. I agree. But it's sad that they have to lower the tone because no-one else wants to sponsor them. I see from the website that even the kids' shirts have the betting logo.

How is this competition being financed? Will it produce an income stream? Or will all the salary and ground costs be a total loss?

It is fantastic to see county cricket at last. Really hope the coverage is better than we have already with a number of cameras around the ground offering different angles alongside top-notch commentary.

Really hope the coverage is better than we have already with a number of cameras around the ground offering different angles alongside top-notch commentary. Great if this happens. But it's just adding to the cost. WC, can you explain how these matches are being financed? Do the counties simply present the ECB with a bill for the costs of each match?

One ironic thing I’ve noticed about these fixtures, there’s a lot of weekend cricket when we can’t go to watch!

It has been announce that Surrey will be allowed over 2000 supporters in to watch their game on Saturday in the Bob Willis trophy. What are Sussex doing to get approval to allow fans in ?
Surely if the Govt and ECB give approval to Surrey, every county can have fans in with the correct processes in place. I would hope RA is already contacted Lords.

How does social distancing work when you want to leave or return to your seat during the course of the day. Are the less continent members entitled to an aisle seat, to avoid unnecessary contact with those in the same row? I assume no-one is wearing masks?

Been reported that a Northants player has tested positive for Covid-19 after showing symptoms and self isolating. Consequently the Northants/Gloucestershire game was abandoned after lunch yesterday as, although he wasn’t in the squad for that game, some of the squad had had contact with him within the last 48 hours.
