After waiting for some live cricket to watch for the last 4 months when we’ve seen weeks and weeks of beautiful cricket weather, it’s no surprise come the day that it’s raining!

Yep, normal service has resumed. The only difference being the face-masks.

Broad dropped left out. That ends a run of 51 consecutive home Test appearances, per CricInfo

England win the toss and bat first.
Shame about Broad being left out as he would have been the only player to have a parent at the ground watching!

204 all out. The decision to bat first was bizarre given the conditions. Let’s hope Jimmy and Jofra can make use of them and take a few before end of play.

The artificial crowd noise that Sky is using is quite effective, IMO. Good to watch some top cricket at last.

All 3 results possible on day 5 but another 20/30 quick runs from Jof this morning will increase England’s chances. Should be a good days viewing with the weather set fair. It’s good to have cricket back!

It’s good to have cricket back! Yes, this final day is a mouth-watering prospect. Low scoring matches are often the most tense. Come on, England!

A tense final day, but Windies deserved their win. Their batting on this final day was very disciplined.

Yes a great test match, well played Windies. A few missed chances with dropped catches and missed run outs but ultimately we were always playing catch-up.
The decision to bat first and the dropping of Broad will no doubt be the topics for dissection.

Next match starts at Old Trafford on Thursday. It's almost certain Denly will make way for Root's return, but would you change the bowling attack? I still think Foakes would do a better all-round job than Buttler at test level.

Great news - Ollie Robinson named in 13 man squad for 2nd test.

So Jofra out of the squad after a breach of bio-secure protocol, could we see Ollie Robinson make his Test debut?

At last someone with the temperament and technique of an opener. A very mature innings from young Sibley, let’s hope he and Stokes can carry on this morning and give us in an unassailable lead. I just know if we lose this Test everyone will blame Jofra.

469/9 dec, that’ll do nicely.
