The second part makes sense, bat first cos you've picked two spinners. The first part, picking two spinners for four days of overcast wet cricket is the part at the height of stupidity. Anyway, he can suss it out in the middle cos he's batting already - shocking. |

Just tuned in to see if play has started, only to see another Sussex first innings nightmare ?!
At least Head seems to be doing ok. Currently on 22 n.o. Is that his highest red ball score this season?

Spot on Liquid. Wrong selection 2 spinners. Even so, given the overall make up of our side we should have bowled. Brown got it wrong. What I do like is how Sussex are blooding youth. Good for the future. Though I know you won't be happy with honest Mitch playing. |

Bowlers have done well as a group today to get the 3 bowling points. Let’s hope their 10 and 11 don’t wag too much tomorrow.
I’d still have bowled first yesterday.

With a threadbare attack, we did well. I don’t know if you call it luck, but every time we needed a wicket and Glamorgan looked in control, we got one. How often have we seen opponents play and miss time after after without getting a wicket? Everyone did their best without excelling; exceptionally, Thomason took a smart slip catch to dismiss Carlson.
Earlier, Danial Ibrahim batted with assurance; I hope he keeps improving without being offered a contract he can’t refuse by someone else.
Credit where credit is due. The boys did well today.

I agree, to lead by 11 runs after the 1st innings is quite a feat given the available squad.

Well batted, young Ali Orr. A well earnt 50, seeing off Hogan and van Gugten, before picking up the easier runs. We could just win this game if the rain keeps away but there’s still a way to go. It’s been a determined performance by our limited resources.
