With half of the 30 man Sussex squad ruled out Atkins, Clark, Coles, Crocombe, Haines, Hunt, Rawlins, Robinson (all covid), Garton (England), Archer (injured) Bopara, Khan, Mills, Wiese and Wright (T20 only) this leaves Sussex with 15 players.
There is likely to be three changes with Salt, Jordan and Claydon replacing Haines, Crocombe and Atkins.

In a recent interview Salisbury has said Chris Jordan won’t be considered for the CC while he continues his recovery after surgery last year, can’t bowl more than 4 overs apparently.

Given the seam bowling options outside the eleven I mentioned that only leaves Sarro. I wouldn't be surprised if Carter plays as a batsman instead of Salt with Thomason opening. It wouldn't surprise me given where the club's priority lie if Salt, Jordan, Beer and Lenham are "rested for T20". The reason why we don't do well Salisbury in the county championship is because we (Sussex) don't take the competition seriously!  Why do we keep signing players who when they sign say "I want to play all forms of cricket" then once they sign then say "I only want to play T20 cricket". Sussex need to toughen up and refuse to sign players unless they agree to play in all competitions. |

The leader don't care about all forms, he cares about one form and it ain't this one. When he's gone, which will hopefully be very soon, we can all enjoy our favourite form again.
On the face of it, playing eight homies every game should please me. But if we're not competitive what are they learning? Poor. Again.

Not in the squad but I'd play him ahead of Claydon. The kid's got moxy, by the sound of it. I'd definitely play Sarro ahead of Claydon. Without stating the obvious the man's retiring at the end of the season, he thanks you all for the good wishes by the way, so why play him anyway? Play the Sussex kid. Plus, and I'm not sure I've mentioned it before, Claydon is a cheat. |

Has there been much rain in Hove since the last T20 match was played? I thought the drainage was supposed to have been improved 2 or 3 years ago?
