Surely not. A home game in the T20 Blast and fine weather predicted. It's Sussex's last home game of the T20 Blast group stages with Essex coming to town as the opposition. Sussex finish the group stages with away games at neighbouring Kent and Hampshire.
Visitors Essex are one of six teams that could qualify for the quarter finals. The top of the table is tightly packed and no team is certain of qualification. As an indication of how tight things are, table-topping Kent are by no means sure of qualification, particularly with two of their last three games against Surrey and Sussex.
Essex started slowly in this year's T20 Blast, but have bounced back with four wins out of their last five games. Their only defeat in that run was to Kent in one of those slightly farcical games when one side faces 20 overs and the other faces 5 overs - a bit like our game with Surrey except one ball different (ahem).
Earlier in the season, Sussex won comfortably at Chelmsford. Chasing 129 after a strong all-round bowling performance, Sussex coasted home with 7 wickets to spare and 6 overs in hand as Luke Wright led the way with 75.
Runs have been shared around by the Essex batsmen, but Sam Cook and Simon Harmer have been the stand-out bowlers, both taking 15 wickets at under 8 per over.
A defeat for Essex would probably put qualification to the next stage out of their range whereas a defeat for Sussex would make things bumpy. Can Sussex repeat their performance earlier in the season at Chelmsford? We are just going to have to wait and see, I guess.
