Well done Sussex. I know it's the same for both teams but the boundary size was too small. Ridiculous. Who on earth dictates the size of the boundary? Yorks must be kicking themselves. A really poor fielding performance. Rashid Khan is a very talented cricketer, but I am really annoyed he is not available for finals day. I would rather Sussex learnt to win games without him. They have the talent. Now we have to wait too long for finals day. Whoever is in charge of scheduling needs shooting. Yorkshire, as the ‘home’ club dictated the boundaries, in order for them to be as they would have been at Headingley.

£89? Doesn't include the coach up there and back? Why so expensive? They would not filled the stadiums for The Hundred if they have charged £89 for that!

Has it been confirmed that Salt is going to Lancashire? Not yet. Although I think it is pretty much a done deal.

A fantastic win for Sussex. When we needed 12 runs an over from the last 4 overs, I had my doubts, but KHAN KHAN CAN! What an amazing cameo (27* runs from 9 balls). Yet, Finals Day is on September 18th and, naturally, the IPL has been rescheduled to begin again on September 19th - October 15th, which means a host of top county players won't be involved at Edgbaston as they'll be in Dubai. Sussex will lose Khan and Jordan (anyone else?), but the other three teams will also be at second best. A great pity, but that's international cricket today, where the IPL rules the roost. Watch That Cameowww.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/58256259It's also rumored Mills and Garton may pick up IPL contracts which would leave us embarrassingly short on Finals Day. Surely Sussex couldn't allow all of them to go Why don't they play the T20 in a block in May and June away from the other competitions?

Because then it would clash with the IPL😉 No unfortunately this year is a bit of a one-off with it being delayed from earlier in the year.
Well it’s been confirmed that Garton is in the IPL but will play on finals day👍

Hardly surprising given he has played only two games, faced just two deliveries and come in at seven. Not a reasonable sample size. It's a ridiculous argument/statement. Incidentally, both games we won at a canter fielding a stronger batting line up. His performances in the RLODC where he has scored two fifties with a strike rate of 100 means he is more than qualified as an additional batter. Yes we won, but Yorkshire called it wrong from the toss and were poor in the field. If they held their catches and fielded half decent it may have been a different story. If's and but's aside, Liquid, Philh, me and if that wasn't enough the Sky Commentary Team all highlighted the bowler heavy selection. Nevertheless, we are obviously all wrong. How lovely it must be to always be right!! Even tonight had Carter played he would not have come in ahead of Khan or Jordan. Our middle order is weak and selecting Carter is not going to change this. RLODC gave Carter the time to build an innings which he won't get in T20. I think Yorkshire were right to bat first but fielded poorly. I strongly believe in picking your strongest XI. I agreed 100% with Kirtley's team selection. By Jove I think I finally get it. You think we have nobody good enough to come in before Jordan, Khan or Garton that isn't already ahead of them so it may as well be unbalanced? Carter or Orr deserve a chance to prove you wrong I would say - did I stutter then. Carter's faced two balls in T20 man, apparently - harsh Sharkey. Also, he is a proper keeper as far as I'm aware. Salt clearly is not. What you got against giving a youngster who excelled in the Sunday Refuge Assurance League a hit? The hundred has embarrassed the Blast at the first attempt as far as I'm concerned. How many years has the Blast had to get the schedule right. It's not difficult, play it all in one hit. Pretty sure everyone has been saying that forever.

Well it’s been confirmed that Garton is in the IPL but will play on finals day👍 The first thing they need to do is shorten the Blast, then put it in a block like the Hundred, then play both tournaments within seven summer weeks and bang, everyone's a winner. I could propose a summer schedule for England, counties and franchises in five minutes. Especially now that I've thought about it for several hours. The key is shortening the CC and Blast. We do not need 14 games in either comp, we gotta move with the times or the times will move on without us/you/anyone.

If they want the football crowd put in the football season! Problem solved.

Hordes of rowdy oafs are a turn-off for family audiences, and at some grounds, they stopped selling alcohol after 8:00 (pm). There was also talk of designating 'family only' stands. This potential culture clash is something they'll have to address.

I think all grounds to being fitted with ejector seats triggered by their occupant singing Please Don't Take Me Home would be a novel yet effective solution.

Enjoyed all the quarter finals immensely especially Hampshire's defence of 124
Sussex v Kent on finals day, best result for us as they look weaker then Hampshire or Somerset
