Well if Luke Wells moved to Kent - that would just be like his Dad!

With Key, Bell-Drummond, Denly, Northeast, Nash, Stevens and Billings Kent don't need anymore batsmen!

Like us, Kent have potentially a very strong batting line up, but, again like us, much work to do on the bowling front

I cant see Tim Linley getting many games for the brown caps next season so would you guys like him at Hove? We had him first, and a couple of years ago when he was topping Surrey's bowling averages it looked as if we'd let a really good one go. But he hasn't really prospered since Adams moved on, he's the wrong side of 30 and he doesn't bowl T20. So thanks very much, but I can't see how he would add value to what we have already and in our developing staff.

It's Tymal Mills.Richard Edwards rather let the cat out of the bag in yesterday's Independent: "His future is expected to be clarified this week, with Sussex the favourites to confirm his signature."
As Edwards interviewed Mills for the piece, it is inconceivable that he doesn't know.
He also reckons Mills "could be England's answer to Mitchell Johnson" and that "if Alastair Cook is looking for someone to inflict similar discomfort on the Aussies in next summer’s Ashes, then pace bowler Tymal Mills might be their first port of call."
I'd rather hope that his progress is a little slower than that and , that like Chirs Jordan, Sussex get at least one full season out of him before England come calling!

Still rather puzzled by Angus Fraser's statement, that Middlesex plan to sign several high profile players over the next few weeks. As there aren't really any high profile domestic players available now, unless Peitersen is not now re-signing for Surrey. I wonder if we will see a few players who are still under contract changing counties.

George Edwards, the seamer released by Surrey, who was supposed to be of interest to us, has joined Lancashire on a two year deal

As the Ajmal stories are gathering pace (they've been around for a few days in another thread on this site, too), I've asked him direct, and told him we remember how he bowled at Hove when making his debut on loan for Lancs in 2012 (two wkts in his first over) and that we would love to have him. Will let you know his reply...
