Surrey have signed Mitch Marsh as O/S for the whole season, great signing for them. Great player though Sangakarra was, and magnificently prolific, the fact is that Surrey won 2 games and Essex won 10. Surrey finished 3rd 85 points adrift of the winners - and only 17 points clear of relegation. Balance and leadership are more important than astronomical averages. |
