I was lucky enough to watch Alfonso Thomas (Somerset) do this to Sussex just a few years ago. I wish he'd done it to some other county but I was excited to have witnessed it!

England lost by 6 wickets in their warm up v India. Surrey’s Chris Jordan’s 19th over went for 23.
I think the dew may be a factor in the evening games. Win the toss and bowl first.

I'm really struggling to understand why the ICC have allowed the warm up games to be televised as they clash with the group stage games - the Namibia Netherlands game (featuring a classic match winning knock of 66 not out from David Wiese) was a great watch but I doubt it got many viewers since it had to compete with the NZ vs England and India vs Australia warm up watches. Way to really devalue the group stage.

Way to really devalue the group stage. You’ve just answered your own argument. There’s more appetite to watch the big names therefore Sky have to show them. As long as there’s the choice then it’s all fair. I do agree that the group stage games are often the more entertaining and hard fought.

Yeah I get money is the overriding factor but I still think they shouldn't be televised when in direct competition with games that actually matter. Still, no warm up matches today so I hope more people saw Wiese's second successive MOM performance, what a great day for Namibia.

What a game! Really pleased for Wiese and Namibia. I hope they can go on to win a couple of games in the next stage.
So Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are in the same group as England. They are definitely the strongest group.

It's started. Why are there no fans watching this tournament? Don't say Covid. Don't say Covid. If you do say Covid, why are they playing this tournament in Covid?

Do they not have vaccines in this Billionaire's playground?
If this tournament was here it would be huge and brilliant. And fans wouldn't be imprisoned.
Worst tournament ever. Already.

Shane 'spooky' Watson just said the last two tournaments were in the sub continent. Presuming Dubai is the sub continent, why the hell have the last three T20 World Cups been held in the sub continent?
Judging by the way Ali and Rashid were so disrespectful to the national anthem, it makes me wonder why they don't play for a country they actually like. Can a Muslim not respect the Queen?
As for the amount on black power salutes before the game, I don't know where it belongs but it ain't cricket. Maybe at a racists rally.
Good start England, Queen and country.

I noticed Ali and Rashid were the only ones not to sing the National anthem, stuck out like a sore thumb. You want to be respected for your beliefs yet you don’t respect the traditions of your country. Can’t have it both ways boys!
