This has always puzzled me, the french call us les rosbifs, we are also called wingeing poms or pmmey b**tards, limeys, all sorts but no one ever sees that as racism. I suggest you have a listen to the YouTube clip I posted earlier on this thread. Then ask yourself if you’ve ever not been selected for a team because you’re white? Followed around a shop because you’re white? Tried to hail a taxi but were ignored because you’re white? Etc etc etc. Yes yes and yes. And so would you have been if you'd lived a working class life in most big towns and cities across the country. Up town girl, he's been living in his white pretty world... |

At least these 2 departed cricket loving Yorkshiremen had no known record of racism to put them beyond the pale  This is one of my favourite photos. Frank said he was tricked - who was he expecting to meet at Broadmoor I wonder? A few years back, there was an English newsroom interviewing some bloke from the US in his office and for some bizarre reason the geezer had a photo of someone standing next to Jimmy Saville. P.S. I thought Jimmy was a Manc? P.S. again - I shook his hand once. Franklyn Bruno was at Broadmoor to open a new gym and Sir Jimmy Savile who was present at the grand event told Frank he wanted him to meet someone, unaware that it was the Yorkshire Ripper or who he was. So Bruno was the unwitting victim of this set up orchestrated by Sir Jimmy. U no wot ah mean Arry. By the way its PPS, not "PS again" Cheers |

Well we'll see what keeps coming from this - there's more from Essex and the pressures of the movement will keep coming. By the way GMDF, even they call it a movement, I could find you a dozen examples of it being called a movement, from the movement. It's a movement.
The whole thing comes down to interpretation. You can't make everyone think the same thing.
