Me too! Honestly i just dont understand the all round negativity.
Assuming we wont be seeing much of Robbo and Jof, this is what i'd go for.
Orr
Haines
Garton
Head
Rizwan
Ibrahim
Rawlins
Hudson-Prentice
Carson
Finn
Atkins
Appreciate number 3 will raise eyebrows and maybe Rawlins too.

Panesar was an upgrade on Rayner and was an England test player. Linley was only on loan in 2015. But that's just a deflection tactic, trying to defend the current (mis)management by wheeling out seasons from years ago. You have to have your head in the sand if you're falling for this "process". How can shipping out anyone with any experience and flooding the team with youngsters be in any way good? It's your opinion and i have mine. The point im making is that when we tried packing our squad with journeyman players we were still getting beat. Again i never said that we dont need experience, we do. But I'm choosing to back the process that a handful of senior pro's mixed with real quality up and coming talent is a better process and makes use of our academy. It's fine you dont like the management but it's also fine that I do. Panesar was hardly a journeyman, he played for England after we’d signed him. And yes you are entitled to your opinion, but how anyone can back a “process” that sees us losing virtually all of our best players and only win one championship game all season and generally get thrashed in the others is beyond me. |

It's your opinion and i have mine. The point im making is that when we tried packing our squad with journeyman players we were still getting beat. Again i never said that we dont need experience, we do. But I'm choosing to back the process that a handful of senior pro's mixed with real quality up and coming talent is a better process and makes use of our academy. Not far off my side although I’d swap GG’s and Ibrahim’s batting positions round (if GG doesn’t get an IPL deal of course!) Lots depends on how long we have the OS boys for though…. Take them out of the batting order and we are stuffed! |

But I must have missed that. Again you just refuse to read the post, you just pick the part that suits your narrative to attack me over and over again. I understand why there is some negativity about last season, but looking at that 11 and with players in the squad who arent in there Robinson, Archer, Clark, Coles, Crocombe, Carter, Hunt and Ward I dont see why there is so much negativity and no one sees any light. I'd love to get another Middle order batter in but it has to be a quality proven run scorer or we may as well work with what we have. |

Which is why you have to swap Garton with Rawlins and then swap Rawlins with Carter, who is far and away a better bat than both of them. And then go to your superiors and tell them the good news. I have to admit, I'm excited by Gordy's team. Especially now I've corrected it. Gordy's managed to give us what looks like a long batting line-up and long bowling attack. How did you do it Gordy? Is it magic? Anyway, I like it. I'm positive for the new season myself. We have an issue if you take away the OS, that's for sure. But I think there's been big steps in the right direction this winter with the signings, the batting coach, and Adams. The Adams appointment goes against what I thought Andrew & Co stood for so it's a good step as afar as I'm concerned. They messed up with Brown. Yes he chose to leave but only after such shabby treatment. It was a balls-up but it's happened. Everything since has been top quality I think. Time will tell. |

Points i dont agree on, a sh1t captain should be sacked and he was useless. Hes also not a very good gloveman either. The other is the OS player replacement is lined up so keep being positive. So the much vaunted ‘opening batsman’ that rob Andrew suggested we’d be in for before Christmas doesn’t seem to have happened.
Added to the fact that Head and Rizwan will at least miss the first 2 games of the season means trying to pick an XI for the first game much less exciting and quite worrying.
With Nottingham first up, including a pumped up Broad no doubt, I can see this team being trounced:
