This assumes Garton not available. Otherwise he’s in for young Atkins to bat at 8.

This game will tell us where the team is at this season.
Both overseas players available, but x20 wickets will be hard without Robinson, Garton, Carson etc!
This is a game we must not lose in my opinion as I feel Derbyshire will be in the bottom 2 come the end of the season. A win would really help the confidence!

I guess we don’t actually know who’s keeping do we? The taste Ruth no FHP, Ibrahim or Garton is no all-rounder, other than the multiple keeper-batsmen we have. So it’s quite surprising that Rawlins has been left out. I’d like us to have 4 seamers, so maybe Coles to bat 7 and be the spinner? And Rizwan to keep?

I reckon it was a good toss to win, can’t see us taking 20 wickets.

Strangely, the batting looked very weak last season, but, as joe says, taking 20 wickets looks a tall order with our current resources. The non-playing bowlers are far stronger than those playing. A bowling attack of Archer, Robinson, Garton, Hudson-Prentice and Carson is, arguably, a very good Division One standard. |

Nearly wet myself when I saw this team this morning. And not in a good way. I've heard of making up a fifth bowler from part-timers, particularly if you have a good spinner, but making up your fourth and fifth bowlers with part-timers?
Not only are the part-timers without experience but all but one of the three proper bowlers are too - not a good recipe. 49 overs of the first day made up by inexperienced batsmen. 49 overs? Think about that s**t. This is a new level of ineptitude, all my optimism from the first game has been destroyed. We have morons in charge, morons. Some on here too that picked this very side yesterday - morons.
What is Adams' role again? These decisions can't be acceptable.
