Hants made 179 from their 20 overs and Sussex got to 180-5 with 1 ball with to spare. Good innings from Rizwan, Bopara and young Tom Hinley at the death.

2nd eleven my arse. Why do we still employ two old men to do pretty much nothing? Are they after Greenfield's job?

Defying the poor weather forecast yesterday, an excellent win over Hants for the 2nds in their T20 game at Horsham. Chasing 168 to win, this was achieved in the last over despite 2 half hour stoppages for showers during our innings. This was a 2nd's team in name only as has become the norm has the team prepare players for the start of the 1st's Blast campaign tomorrow. Most bowlers performed decently, including Finn after his recent injury. Rawlins opened the bowling taking a wicket 3rd ball. Garton took 3-31. Despite losing Ward in our first over, Rizwan and Philippe put on 71 for the 2nd wicket. Rizwan hit 60, Philippe 33. Losing 3 wickets between the rain stoppages 44 was needed from last 5 overs. Some last blows from Garton and Beer left 11 required from last over with Carter and Finn at the crease. 7 from the last 3 balls was needed but Carter hit a 6 and 4 off next 2 balls to ease over the line. Today Middx are the opponents again at Horsham. Hopefully more afternoon showers forecast will not appear

Astonishing. I think the twos would do the firsts.

Sussex will finish top, can’t be beaten now. Really enjoyed the Essex game and the win thought Sussex were good in the field, with the bat Orr looks a class 20/20 player backed up well by the line up.Also bowled very well.

Finals day at Arundel Castle next Thursday 9th June. Same format as first team finals with two semi finals followed by the finals. Tickets are £15, under 18s free and also free for Arundel Castle members. No advanced salsa, pay on day.
Assume the actual four finalists, draw and order of play will come out in next couple of days. Think first game is normally 10.30.
Looking at the points on live.nvplay the four look like being North Leicester, Central Glamorgan and South Sussex with the best runner up one of Middlesex, Notts or Northants depending on today's final round of results.

And some. AGH Orr top of most things, 16 sixes in about 4 innings. We need to pick him, AGHHHH. Great looking top six. Funny really. Poor old Pants and Slurrey lurking at the bottom. And K*nt not doing much better.

Assuming the final qualifier is the best runner up then it's Middlesex who join Sussex, Glamorgan and Leicester at Arundel next Thursday.
