It's THE SAME DAY. They can't be in two places at once. Middlesex will want to win and therefore will field their strongest available eleven. My revised Middlesex XI depending on the fitness of Helm and Murtagh would be Bamber, De Caires, Helm, Harris, Kaushal, Murtagh (c), O'Driscoll (wk), Robson, Seagrave, Sowter, White I cannot believe Middlesex are playing on Thursday rather than Friday. |

Do you seriously think winning the second eleven trophy will take priority over fielding the best possible side in a first team fixture against Surrey at Lord's in front of a full house on the same day.
Robson doesn't play first team T20. And this season, neither does Sowter, so they will play, But any 'big names' Middlesex play will simply be because they are genuinely not in contention to be in the best possible first team side.

There should be a clear pecking order for selection. The contracted players who haven't had much white/red ball opportunity come first; and then Academy.
However,remember last years semi when Salt and Head played
So basically Kirtley will do whatever he wants if it gives the so called "big guns" needed practice.

On Middlesex site saying tickets must be bought in advance. Email Arundel to arrange. On Arundel site saying no tickets in advance pay on gate. Anyone have more accurate info on this?

Arundel have confirmed that it is pay on the gate. £15 includes car parking -no cash, card payment only. Gates open 9pm. Games scheduled 1st SF 10.30, 2nd SF 1.45, Final 5.00.

I find it astonishing that nothing has appeared on the clubs website re the 2nds making the T20 finals day at Arundel on Thursday for the 2nd year running. Last year news on the 2nds regularly appeared on the newsfeed including info on ticketing etc 3 days before the final. Astonishing

Prior to the first lockdown the 2nds had their own twitter feed. Nothing on it since congratulating the scorer getting the first team gig in 2019.

I heard a nasty rumour that Sussex broke a rule of playing 2 overseas Rizwan and Philippe at Horsham v Hampshire.
Are Sussex actually in the finals?
