Why 7 bowlers, 4 batters and a tail you could build a street on? Bopara bowled 4 overs last time out too, so 8 bowlers. Cannot fathom that selection Sharkey, no idea what you're thinking with that 11.
Hopefully JK will pick a real team, which is probably just Carter for one of them leggies.

Bopara and Rawlins are not bowlers they are batsmen (or are supposed to be). Carter hasn't been good enough to get selected and haven't seen any reason to change it. At Taunton you will need bowling options as I expect a high scoring game. |

Talking of consideration, why when we lose an opener do we not call up our best batsman, one of the best openers in the country, someone on England's radar and someone who hits boundaries for fun? JK needs to check Haines' boundary count. I bet he gets a Hundred gig and I'd also bet he'd get into any T20 side in the country. We wanna be careful cos if I'm Haines I'm wondering why someone like Ward is in the team ahead of me, and just about everyone else for that matter. It's a lucrative form, players wanna play it. Someone will offer him it, as well as a big wage at a big ground. Management need to wake up here. Additional, I rarely pay up on bets. |

First impressions...
The Somerset stream puts ours to shame.
Secondly and more importantly, the wicket looks a road and we are going to need a score over 200 to have any chance.

I was about to say the same Devon. Their stream is 50 billion times better than ours, without exaggeration. Get their guy, offer him 10 maybe even 15 grand a year, I don't care, you have to pay for the best.
Sussex clearly think it's a road too.
Real shame JK still can't see a way in for Carter. This road should be Ward's last chance. And Bopara. Haines would score today.
