Lads slipping, only scoring at 200 rate today in seconds win against Essex after striking at 300 earlier in the week. Today he was 124 not out off 66 balls in a total of 189 for 4. Essex were 175 ao. The seconds may yet make finals day which is next Thursday 9th June at Arundel Castle ground.

My XI would be Orr, Wright, Alsop, Seifert wk, Bopara, Rawlins, Garton, McCoy, Mills, Lenham, Finn.

Anywho, seems we're determined to keep Carter out the side. This time it's Seafret - he used to post on here I think. He's come a long way. I reckon we'd be better placed with Carter keeping and a better OS bat. Kohli's free I think.
Need to strengthen that tail on CP's team. Ibrahim for Finn, Carter for Seafret and Kohli for Bopara. 4 quicks, 2 twirlers, a real OS bat, tail strong with Garton 8. It's not socket science.

Good one CP. Ibrahim got hit for 30 off 3, which happens to everyone, like Finn the game before last and Mills the game before that. Carter will play, but you're right, not on my recommendation. As for Kohli, do me a flavour. The man's twice as good as all our OS put together. Which will be about 20 times better by the end of the this T20 campaign.

Hope Orr plays tonight. That sends the right message.
I would also select Beer before Lenham.
Let's hope we bat first; not so noticeable then when Wright needs a sub fielder for 18 overs.

Very surprised in the proposed selections Harrison Ward has been omitted. Not sure he could have done anything more than he did against Somerset to warrant his place in the team.

Ward is playing Sorry Joe, I was referring to the teams selected by the posters on this forum not the one selected by Messrs Kirtley and Salisbury. On a different theme, we now have sound on the live stream. Regretfully, we have the myopic biased Middlesex commentator from earlier in the season. |
