What’s wrong with Mills? No word of any injury. Resting for T20 international. What a waste of money! We have another season of him. Whoever is handing multi year contracts to Mills, Bopara, Finn and Wright and is responsible for the overseas signings needs to be sacked with immediate effect.

Hants win the toss and bowl first. Philippe Ward Orr Haines Bopara Rawlins Garton Khan Beer Crocombe Finn Not sure what more Carter can do to get a game. Very disappointed not to see him included. I know many will disagree, but given there is nothing to play for a nice touch to give Will Beer a final swan song. I find it slightly embarrassing that he has not already been awarded his county cap given he is currently our leading T20 wicket taker. As above would have selected Carter ahead of Philippe. Alsop ineligible, Rizwan and presumably Mills injured, which given the latter's injury record and performances this season make his inclusion in the England T20 squad somewhat difficult to understand. Other than the inclusion of Beer and the exclusion of Carter, much as I am sure some many disagree probably the best team we can field from those availble, which is a lot to do with why our involvement in this season's competition concludes this evening. Get the Hampshire opener's out early and we have half a chance.

One innings at Taunton apart Philippe has been rubbish.

Decent second 10 thanks to cameos from Garton and Rashid. 112/4
Hants need 181 to win.

This s**t done yet? Looking forward to the Hundred, much better.
Huge game week tomorrow. Huge. Sussex v bottom of the league, a win here puts us right in the mix for promotion - seriously. Especially if there's another win after that.
Those two sock-heads in the office can consider themselves very lucky that people have been turning up in good numbers to watch our diabolical T20 campaign. They need to repay the fans with a seriously good OS signing for the rest of the Champ. There's gonna be plenty available. Maybe another Indian even better than Ishant, but I'm happy with Ishant.
This needs to happen. We have a week. Get it done, we can win promotion.

Does Khan think he is the only person that can hit a boundary? The 5th ball of the last over sums him up. Only interested in his own stats. Don't be fooled he is not interested in the dev of Sussex, only taking their very large match fee.

Not quite sure how we managed it as it looked heavy going, but somehow we have cobbled together a respectable total. Largely thanks to some good work from Garton and Rashid after we had stumbled to 131 for 6. 49 runs off the last four overs.
They rely heavily on Vince and Mcdermott. If we can get them early and our seamers show up tonight, we have a chance.

Bopara doesn’t have a clue where and when to use his bowlers or where to place his fielders.
What a miserable end to a miserable campaign.

Someone mentioned about Bopara going back to Essex. I would drive Bopara and Mills to Essex and drive Finn back to Lords just to make sure they are no longer at Sussex next season! Bopara is the worst captain in the history of Sussex cricket.

Garton, Crocombe and Beer have each been screwed over by Bopara, Will should have got a second over at least in the middle part of the game, having gone for just 7 off his first, else what was the point of playing him. It’s just an insult, like a consolation prize, we don’t think you are worth a contract but you can turn out against Hants if you like, we can hide you in the field somewhere. Meanwhile the commentators reckon Hants chose to bowl to practice chasing in case they have to in the latter parts of the competition, now THAT is tactics and planning, right there.
