You could have got a bowler on loan. Virdi don’t
play for us and is a better spinner than Rawlins
or Lenham. Matt Dunn or Nico Reifer other seam
bowlers we don’t use.

If he has tried Gordy he's even worse than I thought. There have been loads of OS players available over the last month. We've been beaten to several of them.
He either don't care or is horrendous at the job. There ain't a 3rd way.
And if you're only imagining how can you be staggered? Quit yanking us yanky.

I'm with Joe here. Playing for Sussex means so little to these boys now.
Salisbury & Kirtley have removed any kudos and being a good (very good) player, playing for Sussex.
I can remember when a Sussex player played league cricket it was expected they would perform.
Now, teams have better players, it's true. Roffey have the prolific Theo Rivers, Horsham Will Beer
and Ben Lister (NZ O/S), EG Harry Finch, Lewis Hachett, Will Adkin. Just a few recent players who are
IMO better than the Sussex players currently being considered.

Middlesex won the toss and bowl first. Orr Clark Alsop Pujara* Carter+ Rawlins Ibrahim Lenham Karvelas Finn Currie What a joke, we’ve literally got one first class bowler! We have 8 bowlers unavailable, no county could cope with that. Hunt, Crocombe and Atkins have all really struggled this season so we couldn’t really expect them to make a difference Carson was horribly mismanaged last year. This is what happens when you bowl youngsters into their ground their bodies aren’t ready for it. See the above three youngsters also being injured GG and FHP yes we have been unlucky there and they would have made a difference Ollie Rob and Jof surely we would have planned without them anyway this season? |

Saying they dont care about playing for Sussex 'MATE' is just plain wrong. I sit here and read attack after attack on this team and before youve always said its about the management but today true colours were shown. You said they dont care you said 1 first class bowler. Dismissing every bowler selected other than Finn I'm guessing. I'm not your mate so never refer to me as one. Pick up your scorebook walk back to St Johns Wood tube station and go home. You are not a Sussex Fan. |

I said no such thing. I haven’t criticised any of the young bowlers, I’ve just said they are not ready to play 1st team cricket. I stand by that. Lenham and Currie aren’t ready yet but they are pushed through because of a lack of forward planning by the management. No idea who Karvelas is but I do know he’s played for multiple 2nd XI’s this year already so is obviously a quick fix.
It’s the management who don’t care about the Sussex shirt by giving it away to any old Tom Dick and Ari. ( see what I did there? That’s proper humour)
