Tomorrows game starts at 2:30pm at The Oval.
Surrey have 2 wins from 2 so far and are early favourites to go all the way.
Will we have Shadab Khan? Will we stick with the same 11?
I’d like to see Lenham come in for FHP.

I would like to see Carter as the wicketkeeper. Burgess looked out of sorts and nervous
last night.
He may be a big guy and hit a ball hard, but if he's out of form, so what. And, no
doubt, the reason why Warwickshire has lent him out to Sussex. To help him find
his timing again. Meanwhile, he doesn't have the different strokes needed in his
locker for T20.
Carter for me.

Completely agree but don’t think it’ll happen sadly. Agreed. Burgess will play in all games. Of course he is more experienced than Carter or Tear; he is 28. My gripe is that players need to play to get experience. I don't mean throwing in lots of the younger players; but by playing Burgess we are inhibiting the development of others. Playing Alsop as keeper also enables this. Burgess stats are not good enough in T20 at 28. All in all a strange loan signing; and for Farbrace to say in his interview that you could see how good a keeper Burgess is from last night's game I don't understand. T20 is tricky as we know. Looking forward to tomorrow's game at Surrey. |

Bopara (c) Alsop Burgess (wk) Carter Clark Coles Crocombe Currie Garton FHP Lenham Mills Orr Ward We will do well to get out of this game with a win but T20 games can turn on one incident as proved last night when our two overseas crashed into each other, missing a catch and losing a bowler. |

I suspect XI will be Orr, Clark, Alsop, Bopara, Burgess, Coles, Garton, Lenham (given loss of Khan probably has to play), Mills, Crocombe, Currie

Lenham replaced Khan and Crocombe replaces McAndrew.

Brilliant fielding/bowling performance from Sussex. To get Surrey 148 all out
in less than 20 overs is quite special.
When you correctly bowl Mills and Garton for the 19th and 20th over, that is
what can happen. Mills was again quite superb as he attempts to attract the
England T20 selectors.
