This one is being shown on Sky, 7pm start.
A couple of our quicks looked as if they’d picked up niggles in the hard slog of the 4 day game v Worcs. FHP was struggling with what looked like a groin injury and Farby mentioned in his post match interview that McAndrew was ‘playing on one leg’
Will we see Garton or Rawlins back?

In the Worcester post match interview Farbrace made the point that there is a lot of work to do with our T20 squad. I don't expect to see Rawlins or Garton again. Hopefully, he can give some of the other pros a chance. Lenham, Tear, Carter, Foreman, Curry, Hunt, Atkins. Doesn't matter if we lose.

Since we’ve had no joy finding an opener to replace Orr in this format, it’s surely time to give Ward a go. Currie and Foreman to miss out perhaps. Shame we’re not able to play Shipley but whoever we field, we’ll be very much the underdogs.

I’d play Foreman and leave out Currie and Ibrahim.

Shame we’re not able to play Shipley but whoever we field, we’ll be very much the underdogs. Absolutely SP. We have tried a number of other combinations since Orr picked up his injury, Bopara, Haines, Burgess and Coles, all without success. Others may not agree, but Ward did OK last season. Deserves at least a go for three reasons. Firstly as above, we have tried almost every other option. Secondly, what is the point of giving him a contract last season if we aren't going to at least see what he can offer? Lastly, we aren't going to progress any further in this competition, so let's at least rest and protect other player's who we need for the Championship campaign. As for Shipley, surely he could have been registered? We seemed to have no end of overseas registered last season, we just couldn't play more than two at a time. Although, personally given McAndrew and H-P appear to be carrying injuries my preference is we look at the bigger picture, avoid the risk of him picking up an injury and save him for the four day matches.

Anyone know why we are playing in fuchsia? It’s a one-off shirt in aid of the Sussex Cricket Foundation. The shirts will be auctioned after the game.

Well played Oli Carter.
129-3 after 12 overs going at 10.75 per over, but only 54 runs off the last 8 overs at 6.75 per over.
Should have been 200 plus given the foundation provided by Carter and Bopara.
Other than Carter, only Ward (8 balls) and Garton (1 ball) with strike rates well in excess of 100. That tells the story of the innings. Garton should have come in ahead of Ibrahim.
Reasonable score though, even though it looks about 20-30 runs light. I always feel Hampshire rely heavily on Mcdermott and Vince. If we can get them both cheaply and bowl sensibly, we have a chance.

Disappointing loss of momentum after Bopara’s wicket with just 56 runs off the last 51 balls but exciting to see Carter cut loose. Shame he hasn’t been given more opportunities in this competition.

And maybe Brad Currie should have been played before too! I have said it on this forum before and I will say it again, even though I got shot down by another poster. In my opinion Currie is better than Karvelas. He naturally swings the ball more than any of our other bowlers. I would have liked to have seen him more involved in our Championship matches. Having said that, I would also say Karvelas has been very good this season and last. I am looking forward to seeing them both lead our attack in the upcoming Royal London Cup. Anyone else think that Currie got Whiteley out twice in two balls? It looked a very good LBW appeal.

Well, however brilliant we thought James Coles catch was against Middlesex, I can't think of anyway I can describe how much better Bradley Currie's catch was tonight.
Catch of the season, catch of the decade?
Magnificent!!!!!!
