Not convinced thats entirely true, Browne and Carlson yet to sign contacts anywhere and weve spoken to both. Ive no reason to disbelieve we will make at least 4 more signings. Love this optimism AB. Brown and Carlson really would be a massive statement of intent from the club. Exactly the type of signings we need It’s going to break AB’s heart when Jack Brooks pitches up on his tod. |

Was told Garton asked to be released, wouldn’t be surprised if he signs for a Div 1 county. When he goes our most senior player in the CC would be Haines (FHP is older but obviously not been here as long as Haines) Just shows how much we need more senior players. Most deals are done during the season these days as players can be approached from June 1st in their last year of contract so can’t see us picking up anyone of note domestically now. Hopefully we are going after a marquee overseas player or two. Not convinced thats entirely true, Browne and Carlson yet to sign contacts anywhere and weve spoken to both. Ive no reason to disbelieve we will make at least 4 more signings. Looks for all the world as if Carlson is being lined up as the all formats captain next year … for Glamorgan. Don’t know why it’s taking so long to confirm though so we can cling on with some hope. |

My heart I'd full of pride. It’s unclear if we should be concerned about lack of transfer activity, or not. Maybe the club is still in the game for its primary targets. Or it might have been a nightmare month behind the scenes narrowly missing out on player after player. Also hoping we don’t panic and blow the budget on show-and-go big name overseas players (like Steve Smith for example). That could only work if it’s a long term deal. |

Clearly needing another seamer, i think Pujara will return for the time he is available. I'd be very surprised if Macca isnt back too.

I just don’t get why we’ve prioritised signing a county veteran probably at the expense of Carter. There are many other areas of the team that require attention more urgently than WK. |

No doubt Simpson is a better keeper, given his 13 years of experience. But to close out one of our better young talents is poor. Hopefully there will be opportunities for Carter keeping. I back his grit batting above that of Simpson. Wake up Farbrace. |

Could not disagree more. Carter’s keeping is simply not up to scratch at the moment and we’ve gone and signed one of the best keepers in the country!
I really hope Oli gets in the side as a batter but he certainly can’t feel hard done by to have the gloves taken off him
Simo is an unreal signing and he will make a huge difference to our bowlers just you wait
