But the facts are he’s barely played for us the last few years partly because of the ecb and partly because of very minor injuries (tooth ache and a finger injury!) The conjecture is actually you reporting that he’s going to be available for lots of games, the facts are that he hasn’t played much cricket for us recently Anyway I very much hope you are right on this one as our season rests on his availability You couldnt be wrong, the facts im referring to is the eCB pulled him out of games and withdraw promised availability at the drop of the hat. Conjecture is guess work which is what the majority of people do because it fits the narrative that Ollie isnt interested in playing for Sussex when i know factually he loves it and just loves bowling. Like I say I genuinely hope you are right, I love Oli and he’s done some amazing things for us. And we’ve never needed him more Let’s just hope his teeth aren’t hurting at the start of April, he keeps in contact with the club and he takes lots of wickets for us again!

Confirmed today that we don’t have to worry about our squad being depleted during the 100 again this year. Mills is the only Sussex player drafted.

I no longer have to get frustrated at the likes of Salt, Evans, CJ, Garton, Rawlins, Briggs etc getting hundred deals!

So Championship wise we'd be no better off and would have to release a few players to balance the book, yeah sounds like a smart move that!

The problem is that it’s T20 that brings in the gate revenue and if we’re uncompetitive in that format, we’ll see the effect in smaller crowds. So I’m hoping some T20 stars can emerge from our young guns fairly quickly.

Every season I bought a T20 Blast Pass. I have stopped this. What's the point? Our white ball side was decimated by Andrew.
There must be 100s of people like me, perhaps even 1,000s.
The T20 tournament used to be the Club's top seller and big money earner. Each season, the team was good enough to reach at least a QF.
Not anymore.

You know what overpaid under achievers in my opinion, great names down the years but only won one trophy. The CC team was dismantled for it and we've seen the long term damage thats done both financially and with results.

RealAB rather than your way of thinking of cutting every decent player we have to break even we should be actually looking to have a good squad as possible to generate revenue. It’s really no surprise all our membership numbers are in decline and all our matchday revenue is in decline
Even the hard core fans can’t be bothered to watch this side so how on earth are you going to convince the neutrals to come and watch a top four in t20 of hughes, Ward, Clark and Alsop!
And also this strategy hasn’t worked, we’ve got one of the worst squads in the country, have sold our land for flats and we still made a huge loss!
For a while I could just about buy into the dream of don’t worry about releasing our best players because we are going to pack the side with loads of homegrown worldies…. But then as soon as they turn any good we just let them leave!
I’m sorry I absolutely love this club have done for 35 years but I’ve never been more pessimistic about our future. We are in a bad place on and off the pitch

lab1, What a load of baloney. The T20 tournament has been the Club’s primary bread and butter since 2007, when the club reached its first semi-final. PlacingsWinner: 2009
Runner Up: 2012
Semi-Final: 2007, 2014, 2021
Quarter-Final: 2010, 2011, 2015, 2019, 2020Agreed, Leicestershire and Hampshire have won it three times; Somerset, Kent, Northants and Notts twice; and along with Sussex… Essex, Lancs, Middlesex, Surrey, Worcestershire and Warwickshire once. That means 5 counties have not won the tournament from its inception in 2003. Amazingly, Surrey has not won it since the inaugural year. In the halcyon days, almost every Hove game was SOLD OUT (average of 6,500 people) depending on the generosity of the local Health and Safety. The Club has purposefully focused on the T20 over the years, knowing it would be their primary money-earner. I have no idea the sums accrued, but now the side has been decimated by Andrew (Luke Wright leaving was the final death knell), the Club will probably attract 50%+ less money, not just on ticket sales, but on all the sundries like alcohol and food as well as fewer vendor pitches. My favourite time of the season was attending the T20 home games, where I posted a ‘behind the scenes’ report, interviewing the vendors, former players etc. attending the game. There was a real buzz and excitement about the match. Now the primary talk is about whether Mills is injured or not and how many games can he muster for the side. Decimating the T20 side is a financial disaster for the Club and once more places them deeper into the paupers’ pit. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_Twenty20_cricket_championsen.wikipedia.org/wiki/T20_Blast

That year we should have won it really. But what a nice problem to have playing to packed houses and narrowly getting beat in the final

Baloney or the truth, i love how you use wikipedia in all your articles now and have the audacity to say im speaking baloney.
As you know anyway, if we did have all those white ball players we'd have to hugely sacrifice the red ball and interestingly youve used the red ball as your benchmark for success in the past, you can only be deemed successful in your eyes with consistent div 1 status, now you backtrack and say the blast is the must and its only been 2 seasons since we saw a QF. Very confused but you confuse yourself often just to counter anything i say.
My facts come from speaking to the CEO come from speaking to important people in the club, yours my friend comes from wikipedia.
Farby was very pleased yesterday his beloved Fulham beat us, he disagrees with you that this side has no chance of reaching finals day too by the way.

What did Farby say about the missing bowler he wanted? And out of interest where do you think we will finish in the Champo and blast this season?
