Shouldn’t think there’ll be many on here who give a flying **** about women’s cricket to be honest. You are sounding more and more like Filby and Grubby. Spouting irrelevant facts to deflect from the decimation of the 1st XI. I'm just using a Sussex Cricket forum to congratulate a young cricketer on her first pro contract whilst pointing out that all not wrong with Sussex Cricket. I do appreciate that good news stories aren't appreciated by some on here but I think true lovers of Sussex Cricket will be delighted for her. |

Club seem to be scraping the barrel on news today. Oli Carter getting 60 for an Aussie club side and a LD player getting his England cap. I’m not saying these things aren’t news worthy for the individual but hardly the news all Sussex fans are waiting for. It’s almost as if they are looking for anything positive before the bad news comes.
Sometimes it’s just better to say nothing because they’re not fooling anyone, we all know what’s coming and the only thing to compensate would be a superstar signing.

If it does happen as it stands our best side next year will be
Haines
Clark
Alsop
Carter
Coles
Ibrahim
FHP
Carson
Crocombe
Karvelas
Hunt
Whilst i dont think that is a completely horrendous side, its very clear that we will need 4 or 5 top class players coming in to really compete.

And we aren’t stupid enough to let one of our most promising players go whilst under contract without a replacement for him? |

Wow! When you put all the players who’ve left during his tenure together like that it really brings it home. There’s probably another 11 who’d make up decent side too like Nash, Wright, Finch, Beer, Whittingham, Sakande, Cachopa, Shazad, Wiese, van Zyl etc.
