This much anticipated match is almost upon us. A chance to add some much needed revenue to the coffers as a sold out Hove welcomes the Sky cameras for the second of the Blast Quarter-Finals.
News from Lancs is that Jos Buttler is injured and won’t play.
The big question for us is Jofra available?
Hughes Ward Alsop Clark Coles Simpson+ FHP Carson Archer (Currie) Robinson Mills*

no. you can only use players who’ve played in previous rounds. It’s a real shame we won’t have macandrew. There is no reason why we won’t have Jofra though . I don’t like FHP in that team and would go Jofra and Currie.

Seems pretty unfair since Salt & Livingstone both played a couple of games on their WC return but Archer wasn't allowed to.

The ruling is for overseas players only, you can’t bring in an overseas for the final stages if the haven’t played in at least 2 group games. Archer, Salt and Livingstone can all play.

So, I’m guessing this is what it will be ,..
Ward Hughes Clark Coles Alsop Simpson FHP Carson Archer Robinson Mills
Not a fan of Clark at 3 as he tends to fritter away the powerplay. Carter, Coles and Alsop have struggled in the same way too though tbf in that particular role. And I’d probably play Currie instead of FHP and take my chances on the frontline batsmen holding up. FHP will almost certainly get the nod though. He needs to turn up , if so

The top 6 should score the runs and we have 3 bowlers very used to elite level t20 Hughes Ward Carter Alsop Coles Simpson Carson Archer Robinson Currie Mills Those 4 seamers will be difficult to dominate.

Thanks Joe for the T20 averages link. On paper, the Sussex averages are stronger than Lancashire. If the Sharks are on top form, we should win this one. The mood in the camp must be robust after the ruthless demolition of Derbyshire Mills is having his best season (24 wickets) and his Captaincy has been top notch. Sussex should win this. (Goat mouth here we go!)
