Exemplary - and against Lancs. Fantastic. For all the finalists one can but can but hope that the idiotic ECB for once see some common sense release all England players for Finals day (if it was the Hundred we all know what would happen……) Given that England play a T20 the day before and the day after finals day it's not going to happen Still, it hurts us less than some of the other teams we could end up playing. Absolutely fantastic from Sussex - Mills had a rare off day with the ball but the bowling changes and fielding placement were spot on. Was sat in front of a block of gobby Lancashire lads, they left for the pub after 10 overs

Any prospect of getting mcandrew back for finals day? If not , fhp comes in for archer . If he and the spinners account for eight overs between them it’s not too bad . And in theory fhp strengthens the batting

What’s the crowd capacity now for a T20 at Hove ?

That was one of the most relaxing and stress free T20 games I have ever watched at Hove. From the first till the last ball Sussex were superb. It sent shivers up my spine to see such a dominant performance. Who could have guessed this even 3 months ago.
Onward to Finals Day at Edgbaston. If Sussex can keep this up, the Trophy is in their grasp.

What’s the crowd capacity now for a T20 at Hove ? I think it’s between 6-7,000 with the temporary stands at the Cromwell road end.

Safe journey home, Salty x Yeah I think it's one where we are seeing the rewards for making such bold decisions just after Covid. Of course you never want to lose those players and the 3 years of pain of misery watching us get turned over was probably worth it to see the construction of a half decent team. Dont get me wrong theres a lot of building to do if we want to become a force again. An unbelievable night for everyone involved and im praying we can have one hell of a party in Birmingham.

Still pinching myself.
Seeing the Hove faithful giving Phil Salt a send-off ball one set the tone for a great night for Sussex cricket. Almost worth all the moaning of the past few years to see such a dominant performance over a good side with many so-called ‘stars’ The Lancs twitter feed is worth a read!
Promotion and Finals Day were a dream 5 months ago.
GOSBTS!

Attendance Figures
Over the years I have done a fair amount of research on this matter. The Sussex Wiki says the ground's capacity is 7,000, yet due to 'Elf & Safety', this figure has consistently dropped, particularly post Covid.
Pre the lockdown, I remember one particular T20 against Surrey, I was told the FULL HOUSE attendance figure was 6,750. Post lockdown, this number has dropped and dropped.
I was shocked to read at the ground last night that the game's FULL HOUSE was less than 5,000, which makes a mockery of what the title suggests.
Allegedly, the Club made a low six figure sum last night which is great for the coffers, but if Sussex are heading for the good times again, the extreme 'Elf & Safety' regulations are clobbering any chance of making higher essential income from the tournament.

Yep, it sure is fun reading the Lancashire supporters replies. Take a look. x.com/lancscricket/status/1831420751200833866The one from Yatesy rings a bell for Sussex followers. Kinda how we felt in 2023 and for years before. Yatesy@Yatesy72"A sh*te end to a sh*te season."

Difference being we were potless and the vision was clear (well to some of us) yes it was frustrating and yes it was painful viewing at times but we are getting there and we arent saddled with huge financial problems such as Worcester and Leicester. With Lancs you cant see an obvious plan, overseas recruitment was particularly bad.

Surely it won't be an all South Division finals day again. Warwicks will beat Gloucs, won't they?

Surely it won't be an all South Division finals day again. Warwicks will beat Gloucs, won't they? T20 can be a real lottery with the variables of the toss, the pitch, the weather etc, any team is capable of winning but Warwickshire have been the dominant team in the north group. I would expect them to win.

Draw is already done so we play the winners of the Glos/Warks game. Avoiding Surrey or Somerset gives us best chance to reach the final imo.
