Thankfully the weather forecast has dramatically improved since yesterday, wasn't looking good at all then

You must be looking at a different chart to me. The BBC Weather forecast which agreed is almost always wrong is below. There's even meant to be lighting at 9pm.

Yeah I stopped using BBC Weather a while ago as I noticed that it always seemed to be out of date. Met Office app has proved far more accurate as the information gets updated every hour or two - they have a chance of light showers around 5pm and the severe rain/lightning prediction they had yesterday has now moved from this evening to tomorrow. Yes although the forecast for tomorrow is absolutely dreadful

I wouldn't put any money on it, Lancashire have got a few of their international stars in their squad: Livingstone, Salt, Mahmood, Hartley, Luke Wood, to go with their all-format players like Luke Wells / Jennings, plus a handful of youngsters. Wish I had a ticket cos it should be a good game.

What a throwback to days of yore with the two most successful counties from the Gillette/Nat West knockouts meeting in a truly big match. And for once with minimal disruption from the never ending, and too often pointless, England matches.
Bring it on - and let the capacity crowd do its thing.

So, I’m guessing this is what it will be ,.. Ward Hughes Clark Coles Alsop Simpson FHP Carson Archer Robinson Mills Not a fan of Clark at 3 as he tends to fritter away the powerplay. Carter, Coles and Alsop have struggled in the same way too though tbf in that particular role. And I’d probably play Currie instead of FHP and take my chances on the frontline batsmen holding up. FHP will almost certainly get the nod though. He needs to turn up , if so I think we have to play to strengths. The top 6 should score the runs and we have 3 bowlers very used to elite level t20 Hughes Ward Carter Alsop Coles Simpson Carson Archer Robinson Currie Mills Those 4 seamers will be difficult to dominate. First time I've got it right this year. I like it. Bowlers bowl batters bat

We may find out it Jofra’s longstanding belief that he’s a frontline Batsman is justified

Exemplary - and against Lancs. Fantastic.
For all the finalists one can but can but hope that the idiotic ECB for once see some common sense release all England players for Finals day (if it was the Hundred we all know what would happen……)

Absolutely outstanding.
If you had to write a script for tonight, it couldn't really have gone any better.
Full credit to all the players, coaches and management for achieving over and above what anyone could have reasonably expected at the outset of this tournament.
Even more so given the priority for the season was always to gain promotion in the Championship.
