Phil Salt's BBL campaign is up and running after scoring 54 off 23 balls to help The Adelaide Strikers beat the Renegades by 18 runs. Alex Carey was in-the-runs once again (41).
Meanwhile, Rashid Khan helped the Strikers defend an average score.

A great tweet from Sussex CCC. Jofra deserves all the success he attracts.

Fb, Depends which Wetherspoons you go to as their quality varies so much around the country. My favourite in Brighton is located at the Marina (good views), whereas the one in Hove, George Street, is an alcoholics haven and a Brighton outlet ( The Post & Telegraph) in North Street is always too busy and a bit seedy. First founded in 1979 did you know there are now close to 900 Wetherspoons in Ireland and the UK alongside a growing hotel chain? And while the drink is cheap, the food can be excellent value too with plenty of deals on offer. The best one I have visited was back in the early Spring whilst holidaying in North Devon - the Wetherspoons at Ilfracombe. It’s a huge elegant place where the hostelry produce their own superb pizzas on site. There is even a nautical/cricket theme as the pub is called The Admiral Collingwood. Highly recommended if you’re in the area. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wetherspoons

The Strikers almost won it after a splendid late thrash from Rashid Khan (40). Lost by 3 runs. Let us hope Salt finds another good score. It's all or nothing at the moment.

The three images that sum up England's cricketing year. If anyone tells you differently they must be Australian. See you in the New Year.

Hear, hear and so say all of us. I have always been against the friendly kick-about before a cricket match. How often do we see them at Hove as a prequel to a T20. If you want a team bonding session go and play bingo together.
edit:
Excellent news.

Could this catch on in England? A great idea. Floods are pretty popular right now. Help those who've lost homes, belongings, etc..
