No. What has Bayliss done? It is the players that had to stand up and be counted. Why do you find it unfathomable that Moores might have been beneficial in developing the players just as he did the last time before he was sacked immediately prior to an Ashes series?

Top idea. bayliss had done sfa so let's celebrate winning the ashes by sacking Strauss and righting his shameful behaviour by firing bayliss and giving moores a third chance. Lol...

What a shame that you can NEVER ackowledge that there might be more than one valid opinion. Speakes volumes.

Speaks volumes about the facts Howard. Moored failed. Bayliss , although you say he has done nothing, has won back the ashes. More than that he's got them playing positively and with an uncluttered mind after the constipated cricket they played under moores. These are facts. Your contention that bayliss has done nothing and England would have done better without Strauss and bayliss and with PM still in charge is conjecture -and improbable conjecture at that. What a shame that your blinkered fandom of a coach who had to be sacked twice in six years from the same job means you can never acknowledge the facts, let alone that other views - like the one taken by Strauss - might be valid. Speaks volumes, as you put it. That said, if he doesn't get a full time job at notts, I think most people would welcome moores back at Sussex. He's a good club coach even though he was found wanting at international level.

I have to say that I am surprised that you have resorted to personal insult : " your blinkered fandom ". I was simply trying to redress the balance. Bayliss takes them on holiday; Moores, as acknowledged by both the captain, Cook, and the next captain, Root, put in the hard work. I think that you might now try immodium instead of senokot.

Has anyone read GD's latest ramblings on Cricinfo headed "The redemption song of the Cookroach"? What on earth does that mean? The man is a buffoon

What flagrant double standards. You were not "simply trying to redress the balance." You chose to mark winning the ashes by provocatively telling those of us who supported Strauss's decision to sack moores to "hang (y)our heads in shame". Then you excoriate others for " never acknowledging that there might be more than one valid opinion" and complain that the mild term "blinkered fandom" constitutes "personal insult" (while instructing others they should be ashamed of their views is obviously not insulting and fully acknowledges that their opinion is just as valid as yours, I suppose?) You might care to consider such inconsistencies before you post! As for "the Cookroach" ,lg, even the tabloids would have drawn the line at such a puerile and pathetic pun and I confidently predict that it is not about to replace 'Cooky' in the lexicon of cricketers nicknames!
