It will be interesting to see which 11 make the team. The inclusion of Bailey changes things a bit especially as Cachopa is a definite as wicket keeper.

Interesting that it appears Mills is now able to bowl ten overs, not just four.
And it will be interesting to see if Luke Wells, who has clearly been dismissed as lacking the shot-making prowess in 20 overs, is entrusted with the job of opening when there are 50 overs to fill.
Surprised that Joyce is captaining. That seems a retrograde move to me. Wright should be given his head and I would have prefered Joyce to step down from all white ball cricket, as Rob Key has done at Kent. Success tends to breed success and apart from anything else, one cannot overlook that Wright has led a winning T20 side and Joyce has led a CC side that has lost six of its last nine matches.
Also surprised that Ben Brown misses out on the 50 overs side. Can just about see the case for leaving him out of the T20 side, but for me he should be playing in the 50 overs format. He's never let anyone down as a keeper and has this season been one of Sussex's most consistent batsmen in the CC ( where innings have on several ocassions lasted fewer than 50 overs!!!)

Cricinfo listing a ten man team. Presumably the man missing from their list is Thomas.
Luke Wells listed at seven in a strange looking side with only four front-line bowlers (Robinson, Liddle, Mills and presumably Thomas). Other ten overs to come from Wright/Nash/Machan/Wells.
Jordan playing for the seconds v Middx at Richmond today, btw.

Decent start!
With No Yardy today, should this team do the job in the next few games and with him struggling to get a gig in the championship, may he have played his last game for us.
I sincerely hope not.

Wells instead of Beer! Robbo and Joyce clearly don't rate him! He has probably been the best t20 bowler!

We are going to have to bowl them out or face 325+ which I can't see us chasing down.

343 for 6 from Hampshire. If we win this, those making the trip along the south coast will have seen a memorable game.

What a horrid lop-sided batsman heavy team these mugs have chose today. There are as many overseas players in it as there are homegrown. It amazes me how a consistently poor performer like Liddle always gets picked yet Beer, who is also consistent but in another way, is left out. Somebody please tell me what the benefit is of bringing in a 38 year old has-been in for a month rather than giving a young lad the chance to further his career? Because I have no idea. I know Somerset believe it will benefit them - one of our relegation rivals. What a route to take. Do we not think about tomorrow. Jokers.

Don't see the prob with Alfonso's selection at all. We have a huge gap with all the injuries to seamers. We've taken a big risk by not picking a proper spinner though and unless Wells contributes with the bat, that will not have worked.
