I'm more interested in the Wells & Zaidi, surely they should have done better? Wells has gone 3 games without a wicket? lets hope he bats the day out or he's in the team for what? Zaidi, no runs and according to reports, a turning wicket and just the 2 wickets? Pretty mediocre return? Robinson becoming multi-talented now. Watch out though because after his 100 it has not been anywhere near close. Stick to the 1 discipline, seam and bat. The more I read and hear the more I dismayed I get with the muddled selection. I agree Beer needs to move on. I do think that he'll play a game in the CC. These part timers will not get the results and Sussex will get desperate.
I'm looking forward to listening how Sussex approach this game. Hants to win, Worcester to lose, Sussex? Anything could happen. With the weather a draw. I still think Wright needs to take on the task of captain. I think he will inspire on the field where Joyce does not.

A BIG day for Sussex and their batsmen. Lose this match and with Hampshire close to beating Warwickshire, we really will be in the quagmire.

Adding off spin to his bag of tricks could be the clincher in earning Robinson a berth on the England lions tour. On the few deliveries to be seen in the video highlights from yesterday his action reminded me of Adam riley last year. Riley has since lost it and won't make the lions tour after a season spent in the seconds and its difficult to see any other off spinning option, although I'd expect the sla of ansari to make the tour.

Wells out to first ball received from Harris. I was just starting to feel optimistic too. I need to cut that optimistic behaviour out now.

If the Met Office forecast is anywhere near correct, we should salvage a draw without too much difficulty.

36-0 off 10. No alarms. Harris comes on. Wells flashes at first ball. Joyce gets a a stinker of an lbw. Machan plays a loose shot, brilliantly caught low down at first slip by Franklin. Bit like watching the Aussies! Now 46-3. Real heroics needed to save us from the drop. Why did I come?

Do anything Luke but don't do what you did in the first innings.

Yards amazingly given out bowled when to me and Chris Nash that it looked suspiciously like Simpson disturbed the stumps with his boot.

Yardy goes and it seems only an 'Act of God' can save us from defeat and rubbing noses with Hampshire. Time for a rain dance. BBC weather says while Brighton is in for a lot of rain this afternoon, London may get away with just the odd shower.
Did anyone hear the Mark Robinson radio interview? If so, what did he say?

You mean did he resign?
