Best of luck to Chris at Notts, he will be a good asset to their squad.

Peter Moores has a high regard for Chris Nash, so not a surprise. Chris will be playing in Division 1; part of a squad that won two OD trophies last season; and is overseen by a man many believe is the most successful County Coach in living memory. What isn't there to like? Sadly, a far cry from Sussex at present.
This move should reinvigorate Nash, so am expecting great things from him next season.

Yes, both Magoffin and Nash, two of our better players, have both gone to clubs higher up the food chain Tough, but we need to adequately replace them, or the slide will continue

I’m convinced the release of Nash must have had something to do with the leak about the Davis sacking Don’t think he would have left Sussex of his own accord

Do you have any evidence or inside knowledge, jonboy? If your theory's true, then he found a home at Notts in a very short space of time.

No, no hard evidence, just the circumstances in which he left Given who’s running the show at Notts, once he’d left Sussex, it was a good deal for all parties

And is now available …. worth a contract ? Given the batting performances in the BWT definitely yes.

No. Backwards, never. Sideways, sometimes. Forward, all the time. And twirling, always twirling.

That we had to play 9 bowlers yesterday because there were no viable batting options, I’d say we’d have to at least consider him

Sign him up. Could still do a good job in t20 and his winter coaching could also come in handy. It was a shame Nashy left in such circumstances when he was obviously a Sussex man through and through. Was it ever established whether the club went back on a promise to give him the captaincy? Good team man so would bring lots of 'positives' to the dressing room which is the buzz word in most sports these days!!!
