What a load of old pants. That's a pathetic score on any pitch. Glad Beer didn't play now, gotta give the poor spinner a few runs to play with. At least Briggs will be able to hold up an end so Leics can cruise past our total.
Why do we not learn? You cannot play four seamers and any spinner in our current situation, we do not have the batting. The opposition will feel like they can get into us from three down with this team and our batters will feel that too. We are weaker than any side from five down. It's commendable in a way to want to play five bowlers but we simply can't do it right now. No Wright and no Jordan means no five bowlers. Especially when one of the batters in the team is a bigger threat with the ball than the bowler who shouldn't be playing.
Simpletons I'm afraid. Really dumb.

Poor shot selection and a needless run out. Nothing to do with whether we have 5 bowlers or 4 bowlers, our batsmen were rubbish.

Poor shot selection and stupid run outs come from the brain, and our collective batting brain is petrified about what's coming in behind it. Relieve the pressure by playing the right team. |

Poor shot selection and stupid run outs come from the brain, and our collective batting brain is petrified about what's coming in behind it. Relieve the pressure by playing the right team. Time to bring in performance related pay for the players as today's performance is an absolute disgrace and some of them aren't good enough to even wear the Sussex shirt. Time also to get rid of the losing coach staff that were appalling last season and are no different this season with a few shifting of positions. The club needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom. |

I predict even at this early stage of the season we will finish bottom as we are playing absolutely rubbish at the moment. Time to get rid of this family club rubbish and get someone in as Head Coach who is going to fire the players into performing and who will keep them on their toes as I don't think Davis is the man to do this. At the moment we are a losing club with a losing mentality. I don't think Brown is the right man as captain. |

Sussex CCC RIP 2016. What do I want for Christmas. 1) New Committee. 2) New coaching staff (with different coaches). 3) New players. Fraudster - for the record Leicestershire are playing five bowlers in this game, six if you count Dexter, and so it's not about five / six batsmen but about those who play actually doing what they paid to do. |
