Could not see a thread for this game.
I will actually get to see this game as long as the weather holds - I hope it is close with a Sussex win. I wonder if they will give Luke Wells a game now that the season is up? Middlesex are having a worse T20 season than we are so should be chance of a win
I have never had a go at predicting the team but here goes (and I am not up-to-date on who is or isn't fit or who is or isn't available).
Wright Wells Prior Nash RHB Machin Brown Piolet Beer Lewis Anyon

Was at Lords last night to see Middlesex v Gloucs.
Gloucs very very poor but Middlesex bowled and caught well. Ravi Patel and Harry Podmore looked very useful bowlers.

Wright Wells Prior Nash RHB Machin Brown Piolet Beer Lewis Anyon Christ you are out of date. You too Kentmandiddlydoo - that rhymed and you know it did. We'll want our best bowler in their, Arafat. And even if there were two months between this game and the next England game I don't think we'd see Prior. Hatchett did well last time so should keep his spot and we tend to go into games now with too many bowlers and not enough batsmen, in all forms, so unless we're over our mental breakdown expect a different balance. I like your team though Ketters - most of it (the batting).

I like the idea of only having 5 and two half bowlers, we have been going in with too many options which surely means that you are expecting at least one to perform badly.

Also it's pretty pointless as often by the time you realise he's bowling badly, he's already done his stint.

Although how many times have we seen Liddle start with an expensive over, and then be brought back to complete his allocation? And we always have plenty of options

Maybe that's a case of having the options, but not using them wisely? Some captains have more tactical nous than others, I guess.

So that's one light batter for the fraudster, anyone for the deep pan option?

Nash is captain, wins the toss, and chooses to field. Middlesex captain Eoin Morgan says he would have batted first if he'd won the toss. I hope not a bad omen. Machan is in for Joyce.
Ollie comes in for Sandhu.
PS: The T20 averages tells a story. Wright top with 247 runs, then Joyce 186 and RHB 178. Nash after 6 matches just 65 runs!
edit: Excellent Yorker from Hatchett. Denly gone for 8. In walks Morgan.
edit: What a start. Morgan goes for 1. A simple catch for Brown off Anyon. Sussex well on top.

Machan is not in for Joyce, Joyce isn't in the squad, we are unchanged. And my light batter tastes hideous. Anyon bowls three wides in the first four balls - oh dear.

fraudster,
Joyce is playing at No.3 in tonight's programme. Around 4,000 crowd. A little disappointing given its a lovely evening.
edit: Nash drops a catch. Not that difficult.
edit: RHB drops a more difficult chance.

Well your programme is wrong cos he ain't in the squad, and nor was he last time, so we are unchanged.
24-2, the Axe-Man and the Wide-Boy get us off to a good start. Was that in your programme?
