Nash Wright (c) Brown (+) Taylor (Salt) Machan (Finch) Jordan Wiese Beer Shahzad Briggs Mills I'm not sure why Cachopa has been named in the squad even with the injury doubts surrounding Taylor and Machan as we have Salt and Finch who are in better form with the bat. Get a grip. You did actually, not so long ago but now you're typically all over the shop again. Five bowlers Sussex, especially if Taylor ain't fit. Or forever be a batsman light and with that, come undone. Nash Wright Salt Taylor Machan Brown Wiese Jordan Beer Garton Mills Here me now, this is the right balance and team. The only contentious part being Garton/Shahzad. I'll go Garton. If we can't follow that team, through injury, then follow the structure anyway.

Three batsmen, including the out-of-form Nash and the inexperienced Salt. Two wicketkeepers and six bowlers. Dreadful.

Finch should have played instead of Briggs. Very unbalanced side.

That's an... interesting side
Would also point out that betting odds displayed by cricinfo on their scorepage got worse for Sussex after the team news was announced!

Of the 8 limited overs games this year for Sussex Wright has captained he has lost the toss 7 times. Taylor also lost the toss when he captained in Bristol

Delayed by rain, covers on. One point might be a good result for us

I was hoping Rain would be man of the match after the selection fiasco. What the hell is going on?

Given the team named one point might be the best result for Sussex.

I never knew the thunder and lightning rule existed, and the umpires can't inspect with it in the air….Health and safety gone mad!!

The rule is also used to take the players off the field, even if it's not actually raining, I believe. Anyway, would you want to go out and inspect the wicket with thunder and lightning around?!

I would yeah as that would be my job as an umpire… Surely the spectators are in constant danger of it if you think that way. This will likely turn into a 7/8 over a side match by the looks of the weather radar and twitter.

Indeed, I have seen this happen when the Kent CEO marched on to the field at Canterbury in the middle of an over and ordered the umpires to take the players off the field on the grounds that the weather radar showed there was lightning about. That Kent had just gone ahead of the D/L for the first time on the previous ball was entirely coincidental, although some cynical types might have suspected otherwise as it took another 20 mins for the predicted storm to arrive! Really wanted Sussex to stuff Middlesex tonight, because they have today posted a linguistically-challenged video titled 'Morgs, BMac, Finny and Gubbo', which is such a horrible mouthful of mangled English that they don't deserve to win another game. Ever.
