I never knew the thunder and lightning rule existed, and the umpires can't inspect with it in the air….Health and safety gone mad!! On the Saturday of the Derbyshire match when we were treated to a spectacular localised thunder storm the umpires got the ground staff to put all the covers on then vacate the pitch. The club also lifted the members only in the pavilion rule so that all could take cover. |
