Can't see why we'd be without Mills at all. Sussex have a game June 30th away to Kent then the next one is July 7th at Hove v Glamorgan. England only play one T20 on July 5th.
And I don't believe that the championship or RLC can be written off just yet either S&F!

There's a double incentive to make the top four - an appearance at finals days and bagging a place in the top tier of what looks likely to be a two division model in 2017, probably 8 elite teams in a premiership league and ten in the lower tier. Wasn't two divisions ruled out for 2017?

Joe,
I've done some research and Jordan has now left us for the England ODI games and may not return until the earliest July 15th. Along with Mills who will join the England T20 squad around June 30th, both could, potentially, miss the Kent, Middlesex and Glamorgan (2) T20 games.
So, there should be a minimum of 4 T20s remaining where we may have both Jordan and Mills available.

Why on earth do they need Mills for so much time?

I was questioning why Mills would miss any T20 games for Sussex when the one IT20 falls between two Sussex games.

Joe,
All depends for how long the ECB deem to keep Mills. It could be a week before the T20 starts and for a week after it ends. It may be less, perhaps a few days either side. Often it relies on the relationship the club has with the ECB and how generous they feel at the time.

Robust and forthright, but quite rightly accepting the decision and avoiding the 'moaning minnies' reputation which Kent have earned themselves. Earlier this season when Kent were washed out at New Road, Worcester, they lodged a formal complaint of negligence and got a QC involved. It was the second time in recent seasons they have invoked the law to try to gain points from an abandoned game at Worcester and their action earned them no friends whatsoever. Sussex's stoical atttitude far more admirable.

I am totally unimpressed with the ECB's decision to sweep it under the carpet. I felt Hampshire should have been given the maximum penalty permissible. The fact is as professional ground staff they have been negligent in their duty by failing to act quick enough to get the covers on. If Sussex miss out on qualification by a single point I expect Sussex will complain then but it will be too late to do anything about it.

Sussex's stoical atttitude far more admirable. The Kent/Worcester scenario was totally different, IIRC. At Hampshire, according to Luke Wright “He [the groundsman] held his hands up and said ‘Look, I’ve got it wrong’." If that's not an admission of culpability, I don't know what is! www.theargus.co.uk/sport/14565379.Skipper_calls_for_Sussex_to_be_awarded_the_win_after_Hampshire_call_off/
