According to Mark Davis, Taylor will be fit for this game but our bowling attack is looking weak with us potentially missing Mills, definitely missing Jordan and Wiese and any replacements not coming in time. m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=xvWrm7s25MI

If not then it seems reasonable to assume that he'll be released, which would be very good news for Sussex.

With Essex looking like beating Surrey today, we continue to look well-placed in this competition. Can we make the most of our good fortune?

Glos got a point for a no-result today and are now above Sussex, equal second on points with Middx (third on NRR). Being Sussex, we will probably beat them comfortably - and then lose miserably on Thursday to Kent, who are joint bottom on pts , having lost five of their last six games... Arundel needs a bumper crowd tomorrow. From what I'm hearing the festival's first four days have been a financial catastrophe ...

Not helped by the inclement, unpredictable weather but it occurred to me that I don't think I've ever seen a good days cricket from Sussex at the ground. Day 3 really was tedious stuff. I'm not sure it was great even if you were a Northants supporter as they batted far too long to have much chance of a win given today's weather. Arundel is a beautiful ground but it's starting to look like we maybe should just use the out grounds for one day cricket where there's more chance of attracting a decent crowd. Then again the finances of setting up for one day probably don't make that viable.

Ideally someone needs to go "deal with" Klinger overnight...

Is Taylor fit to play, or are we going to go into the match without any overseas players

We need a fifth bowler, so Garton for Finch.

So presumably Jordan will play for England today. Taylor to have a fitness assessment before the game. Garton will definately play.

I'm surprised Ollie Robinson is consistently ignored in T20 cricket. When he was at Yorks , Gillespie and his stepfather Paul Farbrace rated him more of a white ball specialist than a red ball cricketer and he has played more T20s in his short career than he has first-class matches.
Jordan has replaced the struggling Moeen Ali in the England side today, which explains why he hasn't been released a la Finn for Middx four days ago.

I am attending this match so praying the weather is kind - especially when different weather forecasters offer different outcomes. I really hope it is sunny for the organisers, sponsors, club and supporters, who have had a tough weather week. How the primary sponsor 'Irwin Mitchell' has faired is unclear but they can't be too happy. Fingers crossed that Taylor is fit to play; the named squad includes Mills which is a great bonus; so, it appears only Jordan is missing. The club need to bounce back from their disappointing performance against Northants, so a win is vital. Come on Luke, show us the way. Meanwhile, this interview with Wright after the Northants game offers some interesting insights. He's not a happy lad with the side. He blames the bowlers rather than the batsmen for their disappointing performance. It is so refreshing to hear an honest captain. A little surprisingly, Wright doesn't rebuke the batsmen for their first innings malaise but the excellent bowling from Northants. Why then couldn't the Sussex bowlers emulate them as Luke suggests? To be out-bowled by Northants, as Wright says, from a bowling attack that is viewed as the strongest in Division 2, is deeply worrying. Should we now scrutinise Jon Lewis' coaching methods? Under Robinson, it was rare for the bowlers to be criticised as they regularly outperformed the batters. Meanwhile, Wright knows the problem behind the malaise - using our favourite word on this forum 'energy' - but how he changes things may be more up to an alchemist than a Captain. Luke is also honest about Mr Fizz and says he doesn't know whether he'll arrive or not at Hove after the previous Mark Davis waggy tail response. Overall, it is so fortifying to understand and share Wright's mindset. Dare I say, he's one of us! Up to 7,000 spectators are expected this afternoon. Let's rock and roll! www.sussexcricket.co.uk/news-1/preview-natwest-t20-blast-arrives-at-arundel-castle
