I don't know why Luke has this obsession with bowling first. We always seem to perform best when we bat first.

With our lack of depth in batting, he probably would prefer to know how ambitious we need be rather than risking meltdown if we go off too fast.

Garton to make his T20 debut. Salt in for Finch. Taylor fit to play.
Some weather around later in the day and with D/L favouring the side who bat second a good decision by Luke.

Ahh so its the old "There might be rain so we'll bat second to take advantage of the nonsense D/L" card. Thought that could be the case!
And we get Klinger which is huge!!!

Why can't Sussex have 2 batsmen getting runs in the same innings?
Good luck to Mills getting picked for the IT20 after that load of rubbish!

Oh dear. That l-o-o-n-g tail again. I think I'm right in saying we lost six wickets in 28 balls?
These things can happen when you're having to go for it at 10 or 11 an over. But it does help if you've got a batsman or two in the lower half of the order!

13 extras which is the difference between winning and losing.

Also fair to say that the dream ticket of Beer and Briggs isn't delivering.

Machan was playing well then decided to skip down the pitch and play across the line, no need to do that, keep the score ticking and attack the width ball, elementary my dear Meatball.

Joe,
Great pic.
We missed Jordan. That was a major difference. And apart from Machan, Wright was left again to score the runs. Mills inconsistency turns him into Boon but good to see Shazza hold his head up high.
Nice day - shame about the result!
