Back to the hustle and bustle of the blast not much time to reflect on a disappointing championship result against the same opposition...
Glamorgan have been very good in the competition so far so we'll have out work cut out but a win will put us in a strong position for aiming for top2 and a home qf..
Weather looks fine at the moment.

Are we sure that England are releasing our players after the strenuous task of bowling 4 overs and not batting?

Are we sure that England are releasing our players after the strenuous task of bowling 4 overs and not batting? Not forgetting the fact that they were stuck out in the sun fielding for an hour and twenty minutes.

Surely there are batsmen in Bratislava in better form than Cachopa. 0 and 3 retired for the seconds yesterday.

I have a feeling that after his 3 fer v Middlesex, Briggs will play. If we play 5 bowlers, who will miss out? Beer? Shahzad?

Now I imagine Nash will bowl the rest of Briggs quota. Yet another game where he won't bowl all 4

Now I imagine Nash will bowl the rest of Briggs quota. Yet another game where he won't bowl all 4 Absolute joke. To go with being tenth in the Sussex CC bowling averages with 5 wkts at 86 apiece, he has bowled just 20 overs in 9 T20 games when he should have bowled 36. In those brief 20 overs, he has also conceded more runs at a significantly worse run rate than any other Sussex bowler. Sorry, s&f. I simply do not believe your claim that Wright was the principal advocate of signing him. He was appraoched long before Wright was appointed and the captain clearly doesn't trust him. Why else has he only bowled him for 20 overs and given the rest to Nash? But despite Briggs, that's a great bowling performance and the game is there for the taking which would put Sussex in second place and in the box seat for a home q/f...

Batters letting the side down again...Heavily reliant on Taylor once more, up to nearly 10 an over needed already

If we recover from this in the last 11 overs I will be impressed.

If we recover from this in the last 11 overs I will be impressed. Now you can be suitably unimpressed, like everyone else. Bowlers did a great job for us again - 30 odd for five off the last six or so, turning a quick start from the oppo around, not for the first time. Jordan and Mills are some combo but what of the batting? Woeful. Nash will have set the tone with four runs from 17 balls. Why does Wright keep chasing? It ain't working. I think our bowling attack would be more fearsome and better suited to defending, especially with our spin options. Some research shows this season we've chased six, winning two and losing four. Wright has chose to field every time he has won the toss. We've bat first just twice, won both of them and scored over 200 each time in the process. We didn't win the toss either time. We're poor chasers, a change of tac from Wright is needed.
